When are membership fees billed to my payment method?

Your billing schedule depends on your particular membership plan and optional add-ons.

Annual Telehealth Plans

Our Annual Telehealth plan is our primary membership option today. Sometimes, you'll find a free trial offer with the Annual Telehealth plan. This membership option is billed on an annual basis, based on the date of signup, or based on the trial's expiration.

Signing up with a trial offer

If you sign up with a trial offer, you won't be charged immediately upon signup. We'll instead place a $0.00 authorization charge on your payment method to verify it's valid. Then you'll be charged $99.00 after the trial period ends. From there, you'll be billed on the anniversary of the trial conversion date moving forward.

  • Example 1: You sign up for a one-month trial on January 1, 2023. Your account will be billed $99.00 on January 31, 2023, and you'll be billed annually on January 31 moving forward.

  • Example 2: You sign up for a one-year trial on January 1, 2023. Your account will be billed $99.00 on January 1, 2024, and you'll be billed annually on January 1 moving forward.

Signing up without a trial offer

If you sign up without a trial offer, you'll be charged $99.00 immediately upon signup. From there, you'll be billed on the anniversary of your signup date moving forward.

Emergency Fund Add-on

The Emergency Fund add-on is optional and can be added to your Annual Telehealth plan at any time. Therefore, your billing due date for the add-on may not match the Annual Telehealth plan's due date. We charge the Emergency Fund add-on at a monthly rate of $14.00, separate from and in addition to the Annual Telehealth plan. Your due date is based on the date you purchase this add-on and is billed every 30 days from that date.

Please Note: You cannot have the Emergency Fund add-on without an Annual Telehealth plan.

Monthly Emergency Fund Plans

The Monthly Emergency Fund plan is a legacy option that we no longer offer to signups or reactivations. Nonetheless, all previous members are grandfathered into this plan with continuous payment from the date of signup. You're billed for this plan immediately upon signup and then every 30 days from that date.
