Great question! The recipient of the gift will receive an email with instructions on how to redeem their gift on the date specified by the gift sender. Redeeming a gift costs nothing for the recipient (obviously), but we do ask for a payment method to leave on file in order to ensure a seamless auto-renewal after the 6-month gifted period ends, and to maintain emergency coverage for their pet. A reminder will be sent to the recipient 30 days prior to renewal.
Here's how to redeem your Pawp e-Gift:
Find the email your received from Pawp and select Activate Membership Now. It will look something like this:
2. You'll be redirected to a page that outlines what your membership includes. Select Redeem Now from the bottom of the page.
3. Then, we'll ask you a few quick questions about your pet to get your pet's profile set up properly.
4. Next, we'll confirm your contact details to make sure everything is on file.
5. Finally, we'll ask for a payment method to keep on file. Select Claim Membership, and you're all set!
Why do we ask for your payment method?
After your membership is activated and you've passed the 14-day wait period, you'll have access to our $3,000 emergency fund towards one pet emergency per year. We don't want you to suddenly lose this emergency coverage, so we need to keep a payment method on file for a seamless auto-renewal.
